Medical Scientist
Due to restructuring of pathology services a vacancy has arisen for a Medical Scientist Basic Grade - Full time/Part time.
Job Responsibilities:
Perform routine work to the highest standard.
Ensure that all samples are processed in accordance with standard operating procedures.
Be responsible for the quality of work in the laboratory and carry out duties in accordance with hospital policy.
Requirements:
Relevant Qualification (BSc in Biomedical or related Science).
Must be eligible for membership of the Academy of Medical Laboratory Science.
Experience in Biochemistry, Haematology an advantage.
Excellent knowledge of laboratory practices.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Good organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.
Proven competency and reliability.
Demonstrated use of initiative and ability to troubleshoot.
Availability to work extended working hours and Saturdays.
Responds positively to changing circumstances and priorities.
Flexible in work practice.
