I am delighted to welcome you to The Academy of Medical Laboratory Science, the professional body for Medical Scientists in Ireland. The Academy functions as the Designated Authority with the approval of the Minister of Health and Children, in evaluating the education and training necessary to practise medical laboratory science in Ireland.

Membership or eligibility for membership of the Academy of Medical Laboratory Science is a requirement to practise in the profession in Ireland. The Academy is active in researching the policies, procedures and the associated technology necessary to ensure the highest quality service within pathology laboratories at a national and an international level.

New Website: The AMLS website has been upgraded. If you already had an account on academylearning.ie you can use that username and password to log in here. If you need to access any material from the old AMLS website, it is available at legacy.amls.ie for a limited time. If you are using Internet Explorer 6 you may notice some graphical errors, this is due to IE6 incorrectly handling website stylesheets. A custom stylesheet for IE6 will be added as soon as possible to address these errors.
